On a cool autumn night at Anderson Rugby Complex, the Army Black Knights took on the Binghamton Bears.  Army was 1st on the board with a penalty kick from 35 meters out.  However Binghamton countered with strong running and eventually capitalizing on an overload deep in Army’s end to take the lead 5-3.  The match stayed at 5 to 3 for most of the 1st half, until Army’s 13 was able to pick off a Binghamton pass and take the ball 20 meters for the try.  Army lead 10 to 5 at half.

The 2nd half opened up with Army showing their strength by scoring three trys in the 1st 15 minutes of the half.  Binghamton was able to slow the game down for and play with the ball in Army’s half of the field for the middle part of the 2nd half, but ultimately they could not hold off the well organized Army side.  Army went on to put 3 more tries on the board to win the match 46 to 10.

Next week Army will take on Stony Brook at home and Binghamton will host St. Bonaventure.
