Scoring:

The Devils offense was unstoppable and defense was impenetrable. The Devils spread the ball out well and were very efficient with kicking. Nicholas Espositio, Ryan Garrigan and Dan Wilson all had their fair share at kicking for points. Rookies Tyler Poli and Tommy Sullivan (subbed out for Anderew Nenos in second half) Bryan Shankman saw some great playing time and did a great job in filling some shoes.

Game #2
Final Score:

  • SUNY Binghamton – 60
  • SUNY Stony Brook – 3

Scoring:

  • Spencer Mendelson 2 tries
  • Matt Montalvo 2 tries
  • Marc-Andrew Arditio 1 try
  • Christian Randell 1 try
  • Zack Lenane had 2 try
  • Ryan Garrigan for 1 try

The Devils played the Stony Brook B side, as the A side was preparing for the 1st round of the D1-AA National play-offs.  Regardless, once again great individual performances by several players. Christian Randell scored his first try as a Devil. Marky scored his try off a 5 meter Stony Brook scrum. Zack Lenane had a great day delivering several and scoring his first and second try of his career in the game. Nicholas Espositio and Ryan Garrigan kicked for points.

Game #3
Final Score:

  • SUNY Binghamton – 35
  • SUNY Buffalo – 7

Scoring:

  • Matt Montalvo 2 tries
  • Christian Randell 1 try
  • Nick Palazzolo 1 try

The Devils strong defense led to offense. The Devils drove Buffalo into their own try zone. As they tried to punt the ball away, Christian Randall deflected the kick and was able to touch it down for a try. Co Captain James Konicoff played an outstanding game making, breaking the game line and providing off loads to Palazzolo and Montalvo to help the Devils pull away from Buffalo. Nicholas Espoitio did the kicking for points in this game.

Game #4
Final Score:

  • SUNY Binghamton – 25
  • SUNY Brockport – 0

Scoring:

  • Ryan Garrigan 2 tries
  • Chris DeRise 1 try
  • Matt Montalvo 1 try

Hands down the toughest match for the Devils of the day. Brockport was extremely pack oriented so all our forwards really had to come up big. The game was predominantly a slug fest between the two teams. However, whenever Brockport got close to our try zone, the Devils played locked down defense and were able to outlast the Brockport assault. Dan Smith had several try saving plays for the Devils one being a tackle and strip on the Devils 5 meter line. The game eventually broke wide open thanks to a pick 5 by Ryan Garrigan with 10 minutes remaining in the game.

Great Job this weekend boys. Next up: Alumni Day.
